"charlier parker in the Ozarks"

C. Violet Eaton

Something settled within man

at night, late - huge

alphabet - drifted like

a spore & hid growing

in the dark

                      way Out

in the far dark tropics

Thailand or brazil

the ant's brain compels it

- seized by a fungus - to

climb the spire   cleat the vein

Then

the idea erupts - protuberant horn

& blown loud out the crown

swollen opens its umbrella :

a rain Come from the underside

canopy to carpet

One drop named for each year
